The projects comes up from the necessity of improving the spatial and comfort conditions of the market stalls used by the local farmers, putting an special effort into upgrading the thermal and light conditions.
On the other hand the Market appears to needs a new image in order to turn it more visible and attractive. In this sense, the inner renovation of the Municipal Market in Zarautz goes further, not just acting on the farmers stalls but reaching the circulations spaces, the exterior entrances and the inner finishes. All of that with the aim of keeping alive and pushing Zarautz’s Market.
The proposal, trying to enhance the product, uses a short color and material pallette, adequate to its function: ceramic for the flooring -expressly designed for the market-, light color wood panels for the inner vertical cladding and stainless steel and granite for the work spaces.
