The renovation project for the residential building located at calle Gipuzkoa No. 15, in Trapagaran, involves a comprehensive intervention aimed at improving the energy performance, habitability, and architectural identity of the complex.

The strategy is based on working on the building envelope as a key element of transformation, incorporating new layers of insulation that optimize thermal comfort and reduce energy consumption, while also updating the building’s image. This operation is completed with the incorporation of efficient, low-impact energy systems in each dwelling, integrating renewable energies and ventilation solutions that improve indoor environmental quality.

The project places special emphasis on improving the spaces linked to domestic tasks, expanding and reorganizing the areas used for laundry as a fundamental part of everyday use of the home.

From a formal point of view, the proposal opts for a renewed and recognizable image: opaque surfaces are finished in white, while balconies, clotheslines, and window frames are highlighted with a gold-toned metallic finish, giving the building character and uniqueness within its urban environment.
